ALBUS (prior name = Rider) – Born 8/16/2024 (Clarriotts Riders On The Storm) – trained (see description) $3000.00

Albus was born 8/16/24. He is a very sweet puppy who was returned to us as one of his new owners was highly allergic to dogs, and didn’t know. Albus has had training with leash walking, crate training, chew toy training, he’s house trained to sit at the door when he has to go potty and will sometimes whine if you miss the signal. He follows commands of sit, and down (lay). He was in a home as an only dog. He loves to sleep on the bed with you, if you allow it. He’s very cuddly and wants attention, but also will lay on the couch and nap. He still has puppy moments as he is still a puppy. He is mostly crate trained. He doesn’t like being locked in the crate when someone is home, but will sit in an open crate to hand out if you’re eating or working from home. At night he whines for about 5 minutes while being told “NO”, then settles down and is quiet the rest of the night if you don’t want him sleeping in your bed. His prior owners loved him very much and sent all of his toys, his round bed, leashes, a coat, nail grinder, nails clippers, etc with him. There is a bag full of extras with this little guy. He is microchipped, will come with Limited AKC papers. He has a retained testicle, which is normal and will need to be neutered after 12 months old. Please reach out if you are interested in him.

Clarriott Whippets: Elite and Ethical Whippet Breeders in Michigan, USA

Trained Whippet Puppies and Adult Dogs Available

In addition to young puppies, we occasionally offer trained puppies and adult Whippets. Availability depends on individual circumstances, as most puppies go to their new homes at 8–9 weeks of age. Puppies listed as trained will have additional skills such as:

  • Potty training
  • Leash training
  • Crate training
  • Basic commands: Sit, down, and possibly stay or come (depending on their training duration).

Each puppy or dog will have a detailed description of their training level in their listing. Please note, we carefully match each Whippet’s personality to their new family. For instance, if you request a calm, snuggly companion, we won’t place an energetic puppy in your home.

For adult Whippets, their listings will include training details, accomplishments, and the reason they are being rehomed (e.g., retired show dog).

Application and Placement Process

To reserve a trained puppy or adult Whippet, please contact us and let us know who you are interested in. Please wait for confirmation from us before sending a deposit. Deposits are refundable but can be applied to a future litter or another available puppy if circumstances change.

Adult dogs require multiple meet-and-greet sessions to ensure a proper match. For this reason, we prefer adopters within a few hundred miles, allowing us to retrieve the dog if the placement does not work out. Adult Whippets will be spayed or neutered before placement and remain on a co-ownership agreement until both parties are confident in the match. Continued contact will be required at least quarterly.

Our Commitment to Responsible Placement

Every Whippet from Clarriott Whippets is sold with a comprehensive contract, which includes:

  • Limited AKC registration: Alongside a spay/neuter agreement for puppies unless other arrangements are made in advance.
  • Return policy: If you can no longer care for your Whippet, they must be returned to us. If you have a potential new home in mind, the new owner must complete an application to ensure the placement aligns with our standards, then wait for approval before placement.

What’s Included with Your Trained Whippet Puppy

When you pick up your Whippet puppy, you will receive a Puppy Pack that includes:

  • AKC registration papers (emailed and mailed from AKC when available).
  • Any items that the puppy has used for play, training, etc

  • A small bag of food (enough for 2–3 days).
